Ari Cho

Cho Ari is an interdisciplinary artist and researcher who explores the porous boundaries where material culture, memory, embodiment, and interspecies agency intersect. She traces the migratory routes shared by plants, objects, and people, observing how experiences of movement and displacement become embedded in material forms, everyday environments, natural and urban landscapes of ever-shifting ecological systems. Through moving image, installation, and writing, she examines how structures of sensation and power are reconfigured at the thresholds where control and care intertwine. Combining social-anthropological perspectives with qualitative visual inquiry, her practice brings forward the affective and political layers that underlie these relations, opening spaces for new forms of belonging to emerge.
