Variable dimensions
As air, which had existed as if it did not exist, gained visibility as a medium for viruses, it became important not to share air between people. As the virtual realm considered “light” acquires a heavier presence, no one can erase the existence of the media and virtual space in the middle.
We live in the material world and the Virtual world at the same time. Although a day's material life is impossible without encountering the virtual, the virtual experience still leaves the impression that it is an 'incomplete' reality. Also, at the same time as digitalization causes us to rely more rapidly on remote senses (sight, hearing). In addition, at the same time as digitalization causes us to rely more rapidly on remote senses (sight, hearing). We feel a lack of proximity senses (smell, touch, taste) due to the lost sense or limited sense of everyday life. The virtual space constantly exchanges influence with the material world to shape the world.
Instead of letting the movement back and forth between the ‘un/safe’ virtual and real worlds flow as they are, I try to constantly perceive and sense the immaterial and material worlds. Transit (transition, transformation) aspects of immaterial or absent senses become virtual space and reality, and the moment they collide is interpreted. Through an approach to dimensional transition, I try to create the momentary sense and immersion that we experience and the experience that it derives from.
